ABOUT BUD
BUD is an immersive educational experience and
liberatory gathering for emerging QTBIPOC cooperators
to build, unlearn, and decolonize our approaches to
radically reimagining our food system.
It is a practice of decolonizing the future from roots that
revere the spirit of land and all beings. Our land and
food justice movements require unlearning the violence
of capitalism and white supremacy while creating safe
connection to ourselves and our work.
Building cooperative understanding, knowledge, economics and community.
Unpeeling the layers of pain to reveal liberation, healing, and joy; unlearning what we might know about capitalism and business-as-usual.
Bringing a decolonial framework into our cooperative transformative work.
WHO IS BUD FOR?
BUD IS DESIGNED WITH LOVE AND CARE BY AND FOR QUEER, TRANS, BLACK, INDIGENOUS AND/OR PEOPLE OF COLOR.
At CoFED, we strongly believe that the work of liberation and empowerment must center those who have been historically marginalized to dismantle systemic inequities. Our approach to engaging with and being accountable to community members is guided by the wisdom and needs of those most impacted by food apartheid and white supremacy.
We are looking forward to co-dreaming with those who are in alignment with the following:
