CRITERIA

Applications open March 2 and are due by March 31 at 11:59 PM in your respective time zone. 

 

Through your application, please convey more about you and how you embody your values in your work. All applications will be considered carefully, with some applicants invited to a virtual interview. If you are not invited to interview or selected, we will do our best to provide feedback upon request.

 

Those chosen for virtual interviews will be notified by mid-April.  All applicants will be notified of their status by the beginning of May. The chosen fellows will be asked to sign an offer letter & Fellowship Project detailing responsibilities, as well as complete an orientation and onboarding process.

 

Applications will be read and chosen by a selection committee, consisting of CoFED staff and network collaborators on the following selection criteria:

  5. Professional Skills

  6. Connection to Food & Land Justice

  7. Understanding Political & Climate Landscape

  8. Teachability & Growth Orientation 

TIMELINE

Fellowship Begins

  • Sign offer letter and acknowledge program overview
  • Complete necessary paperwork and onboarding requirements/trainings
  • Attend virtual Fellowship Orientation 
  • Launch relationship foundation with CoFED team
  • Begin the virtual cohort meetings and 1:1s
  • Complete pre-Fellowship survey
May – December 2026

Fellows will:

  • Begin projects
  • Attend monthly web meetings + coaching sessions
  • Receive monthly virtual trainings
  • Receive compensation for work completed 
 December 2026

Fellowship Closeout

Fellows:

  • Final celebration call
  • Finish up fellowship
  • Work with JLF Team to prepare post-fellowship project plans
  • Complete final progress report & publish fellowship reflection post
  • Complete and share final project presentation
  • Complete exit survey
